What is SIGIC?
SIGIC (Integrated Management System for Patients Awaiting Surgery) is a Ministry of Health program created to reduce surgical waiting lists in the NHS. When your public hospital cannot perform the surgery within the established deadline, it issues a Surgery Voucher allowing you to have the surgery in a private hospital.

Can I choose a hospital that is not on my insurance list?
Yes. The list of hospitals on the voucher is only a suggestion and not binding. The patient can choose any accredited private hospital.
